Although all of our teachers have been influenced and/or trained in the Iyengar style of yoga, each teacher's development may reflect influences of other traditions as well.

Intro to Yoga Series & continuing Level 1 - 3

Level 1 - 4 Benefit
For all beginning through intermediate students. After tax, proceeds are donated to the Women's Cancer Resource Center of Oakland. www.wcrc.org. Please contribute the standard 4th Street class drop in fee or whatever amount fits your budget.
Gentle Yoga
A soothing practice for all ages and body types. Movements that help stretch and open, refine our sense of balance, and deepen relaxation through meditation. A slow paced introduction to yoga.
Tamara - Sunday am; Barbara - Monday & Thursday pm
Iyengar
This system gives attention to anatomical alignments and enables the practitioner to work with the subtleties of body, breath and mind.
Kids/Family Yoga
A yoga class for kids (ages 4-10) and parents. We will stretch, strengthen, sing and have fun with yoga. Parent participation encouraged.

Large & Graceful Yoga
with Sally Pugh / www.sallypugh.com. An opportunity to begin or deepen your yoga practice in a supportive class designed especially for large women. Postures are modified to meet individual student's needs and abilities where necessary. Beginners are welcome and encouraged.

 
Mindfulness Yoga
A class which includes mindful stretching, pranayama, and vipassana meditation. Ideal for anyone interested in combining an asana practice with sitting meditation.

Prenatal
A beginning yoga class for pregnant women who want to increase awareness and health of their bodies. anjayoga@gmail.com
Postnatal for Mom and Baby
A wonderful transitional class for moms to attend with their babies. 
The practice is geared toward restoring the body back to its original
health and tone; with emphasis on asanas for chest opening, back care,

Restorative/Back Care

Teen Yoga
This class, just for teens, will benefit your physical health and mental well-being by teaching you to chill, the yoga way! Strengthening and soothing, yoga is a good complement to sports activities and a great non-sports alternative. Vinyasa Flow
A vigorous flowing sequence of postures linked together by focused attention on the breath and on proper alignment. Emphasis is on cultivating and sustaining and inner calm throughout the challenging practice.
Yin/Restorative Yoga
Yin yoga uses long-held relaxed floor postures to stretch and stimulate the deep connective "Yin" tissues of the body. Restorative yoga is active relaxation, supporting the body with props to alternately stimulate and relax the body to move towards balance. ajyoga2002@yahoo.com
Yoga in Balance
A yoga class that incorporates healthy postural alignment and
movement patterns through the practice of basic yoga poses. Balance realigns your skeleton with gravity, heals or prevents back and joint pain
and is appropriate for beginning thru intermediate students.
Yoga Movement
A mixed level class which combines the ease and flow of dance with
music and the precision of an Iyengar yoga practice.
Beginners wild goose Qigong
Qigong is a longevity exercise. The graceful flowing movements are designed to promote balance, flexibility and harmonize the exchange of energy between all parts of the body, mind and spirit. isa@gratefulmoments.com.
