SENIOR WELLNESS with Betty Aten
Starts Jan. 2nd, 2020
Thursdays 2:00- 3:30pm
Betty Aten is pleased to announce that weekly Thursday Senior Yoga will resume on January 2 from 2:00 – 3:15. I invite you to join me to acknowledge and celebrate our decades of life in a warm, supportive environment. The class addresses the important physical factors involved with healthy aging; balance, strength, flexibility, and agility. As we age, there are some factors we have little or no control over, but there are many other factors that we do! Through a mindful yoga practice, we discover things about our bodies that can improve our well-being. Breath awareness to focus and calm the mind is also part of each session. Those with chronic health issues, such as arthritis and lower back pain, are welcome. Being able to get up and down off the floor, with or without props, is helpful, but not a requirement. Here’s what one of my students said about the class, “I was seeking a class that would help me feel in touch with my body in a mindful way, and would support mobility and flexibility as I get older. I also wanted an instructor able to address movements to accommodate physical injuries. I found all that in Senior Yoga Class.” What better way to start the new year off than coming to Senior Yoga? Hope to see you Thursday, Jan 2, 2:00 – 3:15. Email questions to me at email@example.com.
